Other companies are seeming to struggle in the streaming market. We all know about the nearly 1 million drop in users that Netflix reported over the past couple of months. We have a whole piece about why Netflix is losing subscribers, actually. Not only Netflix, but other services like Apple TV and Hulu are seeing slow growth in the market. This all depends on what kind of content the services have, the price, and the competition. We also can’t forget global circumstances that occur.

Paramount+ seems to be doing great, as it passed 43 million users

Paramount+ has been doing some expanding over the past quarter. The streaming service reported a gain of about 3.7 million users in Q2 2022, according to Engadget. This is what pushed it over the 43 million line. That number is dwarfed by other services like Netflix’s 220 million+ users. However, Paramount+ reported the highest gain of all streaming services last quarter. What makes this more impressive is the fact that this is amid the company leaving the Russian market. Not only that but it’s also despite the negative reception of the Halo series. The streaming service has seen some recent expansion into countries like the Uk, South Korea, and Ireland. You can bet that this lent to the platform’s growth.

What do you get with Paramout+?

It’s not as obvious what kind of content you get with Paramount+ as it is with, say, Disney+. With Paramount+, you’re not only getting content from Paramount Pictures, but you’re also getting content from the company’s subsidiaries. If you’re a fan of Nickelodeon, you can access tons of content from Nick including SpongeBob Squarepants, Doug, Rugrats, and so on. An MTV fan, are you? Well, you have access to MTV movies and shows like the recently-released Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe (Spoiler alert: it’s good!). You also have content from Comedy Central, BET, CBS, and The Smithsonian Channel. Along with legacy content from those companies, there are also original shows and movies created for the platform. This includes the continuation of iCarly and the aforementioned Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe. If you’re interested in adding to the 43 million users on Paramount+, you can subscribe. You have a one-month free trial and, after that, it costs $4.99/month. Try Paramout+
