Best Tablets For Back To School

Whether you’re looking for something cheap, or something that can handle a bit more work and possibly replace a laptop or computer for you, we have everything you need right here on this list. You really can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 or the Apple iPad Air (2022), both are great options and also the most expensive on this list.

Samsung Galaxy A8

The Galaxy A8 is Samsung’s “budget” tablet option, which is still a really good option. It sports a 10.5-inch LCD display, with 32GB of storage available. There is also a micro SD card slot in case you need some more space. Samsung also sells this in dark gray, pink gold and silver.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is one of the best tablets you can get today. It has a 11-inch 120Hz LCD display, the Snapdragon 888 5G processor, along with a 8000mAh capacity battery That should keep you going all day long and then some. Samsung has also included 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage here. There is a Plus and an Ultra model of the Tab S8, which are far more expensive. All three models come with the S Pen, which is great for taking notes. There is also a keyboard attachment, but it is sold separately.

Apple iPad Air (2022)

This is the newest iPad Air, launched earlier this year. It has the new M1 chip that you’ll find in most of Apple’s newer laptops. So this is a pretty powerful, yet lightweight iPad. Surprisingly, this comes with 64GB of storage by default. But for about $200, you can upgrade to the 256GB model. This purple color looks pretty awesome too, but if it is not for you, it also comes in blue, pink, space gray and starlight. You can also bundle it with the Apple Pencil or the Magic Keyboard, both are sold separately.

Lenovo Tab P11 Plus

The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is kinda made more for kids, than adults, but adults can still use it. The kids mode is really great, as it allows parents to keep an eye on what their kids are doing. The Tab P11 Plus does have a stunning 11-inch 2K display, it has Dolby Atmos as well. So you’re getting a really good experience for watching videos. There’s 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on-board here. And it is powered by Android 11 out of the box, but it has been upgraded to Android 12.

ASUS Chromebook Detachable CM3

This is basically ASUS’ answer to the Microsoft Surface. But it runs on Chrome OS. So this is a laptop that has a detachable keyboard, allowing you to use it as a tablet. And it comes with the stylus – two things the Surface does not come with. Inside, there is a MediaTek 8183 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It has a 10.5-inch touchscreen. So it’s not super large, and really about the same size as other tablets. But the fact that the keyboard and stylus come in the box, at this price, is pretty impressive.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 is another Chrome OS-based tablet that also works as a laptop. A lot like the ASUS model above. This one is a bit more high-end. It sports a larger 13.3-inch FHD OLED display, powered by the Snapdragon SC7180 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Lenovo touts that you can take the Duet 5 virtually anywhere, and that’s thanks to the 15-hour battery life on this one. And because it can also be undocked and used as a tablet, it’s a lot more versatile than most other tablets out there. Since the keyboard is included in this price. There’s no Dolby Atmos on this Chromebook, but there is four speakers available, for a really great sound experience on this one.
