First and foremost, the app does look nicer now, it’s easier on the eyes. This redesign is supposed to make navigation and sharing photos and videos easier as well.
You’ll notice that the paper airplane logo is located in the top-right corner now. Well, this button will take you to a page where images and videos can be shared with whomever you want.
Some users don’t seem to like this change, though
At the time of writing this article, quite a few of them got published. People don’t seem to appreciate the update as much. They mention functionality changes, for the most part, as some features are either not accessible, or not where they used to be.
For example, there’s no longer a setting to back up photos while the phone is charging, it seems. Another user says that the edit function is now more difficult to use, and that it’s not as prominently visible as before. UI intuitiveness is also questioned, and so on. You’ll get the update soon, if you haven’t already, so you’ll be able to judge for yourself.
