It brings some pretty modest upgrades to the S7. For example, it brings back ReactiveAI and the Stereo Camera that we absolutely loved in the S6 MaxV from 2020. However, ReactiveAI has been upgraded, and can now identify even more objects a bit more reliably. On top of that, it can now build a 3D map, identifying furniture as well. While that sounds like a gimmick, it does help the S7 MaxV learn where different pieces of furniture are, so you can use the Google Assistant to tell it to clean in front of the couch, or in front of the fridge in the kitchen. However, there is one upgrade that really caught a lot of us by surprise. And that is the suction power. Roborock claims it is rated at 5100Pa, which makes it the strongest robot vacuum on the market. That is also more than double the suction power of the Roborock S7. Making it very impressive. The Roborock S6 MaxV and S7 were both 2500Pa.

The upgrades weren’t just AI-powered

While the addition of ReactiveAI 2.0 and the Stereo Camera onto a S7-series robot vacuum were really incredible. That’s not the only upgrades we got with the S7 MaxV.  Perhaps surprisingly, Roborock worked with Unilever’s OMO-brand and created a solution that is exclusive to Roborock robot vacuums, and can be used on the floor for the S7 MaxV to clean. It will help to get rid of bacteria and tougher stains. Roborock also says that it is safe for pets and kids. This is a feature that users have been asking for, as currently, you can only mop with water on your floors, with the existing Roborock and other brand robot vacuums too. This is why we have decided to award the Roborock S7 MaxV a Best Of CES 2022 award this year. Well deserved, Roborock.
