These new Alienware gaming laptops will use AMD Ryzen processors

The CPU and GPU are make-or-break when it comes to gaming laptops. For starters, you can use chips from the Ryzen 6000 series of CPUs. There’s no word on whether you’ll be able to use Intel chips with these computers. When it comes to the GPU, there are a couple of options. You can stick with AMD for the GPU and use one of the Radeon series GPUs. These are the Radeon RX 6700M and the Radeon 6850M XT. If you want to use an NVIDIA GPU, you can equip the laptop with an RTX 3050 Ti or an RTX 3060. Since these are top-of-the-line laptops, you get some top-of-the-line specs in terms of memory and storage. If you want to max out the RAM, you can have up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM. As for storage, you can have up to 4TB of NVMe M.2 SSD storage.

Size and price options

Just like with power, there are different size options you can choose from. These new Alienware gaming laptops come in two sizes. If you want the biggest screen real estate, then the 17-inch M17 R5 is right up your alley. Just know that this beast weighs a hefty 7.3lb. If you want a bit of a smaller screen for traveling, then you can opt for the 15-inch M15 R7. It’s a fair bit smaller and lighter than the M17. These computers are relatively affordable in terms of gaming laptops. If you want the smaller M15 R7, it will run you $1,499. Those who want the larger M17 R5 will be forking over $1,599.
