One game artist working at NetEase Games added to their profile that they helped work on an “unannounced FPS mobile game” with Bungie. That already says a lot about the situation, but it goes deeper than that. A source close to the matter told The Game Post that this game is going to be in the Destiny universe, and it has been in production for about two years now. In fact, last year, The Game Post reported on the story last year. NetEase Games posted a job post for people to develop a mobile game in the Destiny franchise. This means that development on the game is well underway, but there’s no word on when we should see this game launch.
What to expect from this Bungie mobile game
Right now, there’s very little information on this game available. As stated before, this game will be an FPS. Right off the bat, we can speculate that it will be in the same vein as Apex Legends Mobile and other games like that. However, you’ll want to take that with a grain of salt. One interesting fact we know is that this game will, indeed, take place in the Destiny universe. Its story won’t be related to Destiny 2, so this might follow a spin-off story.
