Elon Musk is looking for a new Twitter CEO, as he’s planning to step down

Musk promised that he will abide by the results of the poll, which is why he’s now on the lookout for a new CEO. He said the following: “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job”. He also added that he will “just run the software & servers teams” following the new appointment. Some of you will recall that John Legere offered himself last month. Whether he was joking or not is a different discussion entirely, but it didn’t seem like it. Elon Musk was rather straightforward and offered a “No” as an answer to that suggestion. It remains to be seen where will this sage go from here. Whoever ends up accepting the offer won’t have an easy job, needless to say. Elon Musk will, of course, remain the owner of the company, and will have certain expectations.

New CEO won’t have an easy job

Twitter is not in the best spot at the moment, so it’ll need proper guidance moving forward. Many would argue that Musk is not the man for the job, which is why the poll went in that direction. Musk made some questionable decisions since taking over, and actually reverted quite a few of them. It remains to be seen how will the next CEO handle things. The search for a new CEO may take some time, though, so Elon Musk is still the CEO until a new one is found. Elon Musk actually conducted quite a few polls via his Twitter account since taking over. He basically allowed Twitter users to make some decisions, such as reinstating ex-US President, Donald Trump.
