Expert RAW gives Galaxy users finer controls over various shooting parameters so they can capture a scene the way they want. You can adjust the shutter speed, exposure, ISO, and other parameters to get the desired result. The app lets you take full advantage of your phone’s camera hardware, something the default camera app often doesn’t. It also allows you to export photos as RAW files, so you can edit them using tools like Photoshop for better effects. This app is only available for Samsung’s high-end smartphones, with certain features limited to select models depending on the camera capabilities. Since the initial release in November last year for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has expanded the availability of Expert RAW to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the latest to join this select group. The company also plans to release the app for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 2. These phones may miss out on some features, though.
The latest Expert RAW update brings new features for Galaxy users
The latest update for the Expert RAW app (version 2.0.00.3) also brings a couple of new features. The app’s listing on the Galaxy Store mentions support for Custom Presets (via). Samsung announced this feature early last month. It lets you save presets with custom shooting parameters and access them whenever needed. This will enable you to quickly capture a scene with desired effects without having to manually adjust everything. Additionally, Samsung is claiming improved low-light photography with Expert RAW version 2.0.00.3. The company has been consistently working on making the app capture better photos in dim conditions and the latest release continues that work. As said earlier, Samsung plans to release Expert RAW for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 2.
