According to the Google Play Console listing, the upcoming Samsung mid-ranger will feature the company’s in-house Exynos 1200 processor, which is identified by part number Samsung s5e8825. This chipset has two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores operating at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. For graphics duties, we have the ARM Mali G68 MP4 GPU clocked at 1GHz. Samsung is pairing the processor with 6GB of RAM on the Galaxy A33 5G. The phone could also come in other RAM variants though. The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G will feature an FHD+ screen (1080×2400 pixels resolution) with a pixel density of 450 DPI. It will run Android 12 out of the box, with the Korean firm’s One UI 4 on top, of course. First spotted by MySmartPrice, this entry on the Google Play Console also features a photo of a very Samsung-looking phone. It resembles the leaked Galaxy A33 5G renders from November last year. But we can’t confirm whether it’s an official press render of the phone or a mere placeholder. Nonetheless, prior reports have suggested that this phone will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, quad rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The device could lack the 3.5mm headphone jack, which may put off some potential buyers. But if priced aggressively, it’s shaping up to be a decent mid-range smartphone from Samsung.

Samsung has more mid-range smartphones in the works

Fresh from the Galaxy S22 series flagship launch, Samsung is now preparing to unveil a bunch of mid-range smartphones over the next few months. The company is expected to take wraps off the Galaxy A33 5G next month. The Galaxy A53 5G could also come alongside it. Those two will be reportedly followed by the Galaxy A23 in April and the Galaxy A73 5G in May. So we have a lot to look forward to from Samsung in the coming months. Not to forget, its MWC 2022 event kicks off this Sunday. The company may launch the Galaxy Book Pro 2 360 at the mega annual event. Stay tuned.
