The Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to keep the Galaxy S22 Ultra camera design

Ice Universe is usually spot on with his information, so if he says this is a sure thing, well, we don’t have a reason to doubt him. As a reminder, the Galaxy S22 Ultra doesn’t have a camera island, as you can see below.

Every single one of its camera sensors comes directly from the backplate. Therefore, each of them is a separate island, in a way, as they all protrude on the back. This has proven to be an issue when it comes to dust, but it sure looks nice. Now, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will bring hardware improvements, and likely a slightly different design as well. The phone’s design did not surface just yet, so we can’t really share the details.

It will likely be quite similar to its predecessor, design-wise

The phone likely won’t step far away from the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It will likely include a curved display, and a centered display camera hole. Samsung is rumored to keep it, despite the fact some rumors claimed it will utilize an under-display camera. Android 13 will, of course, come pre-installed on the phone, along with the company’s custom UI. The phone will support an S Pen, and include a silo for it, as does its predecessor. You can also expect a large, gorgeous, high refresh rate display, plenty of RAM, a large battery, and so on. Let’s just hope Samsung will boost its charging speed. The Galaxy S22 Ultra technically supports 45W charging, but tests have shown it doesn’t exactly charge much faster than its siblings which support 25W charging. The competition has gone above and beyond in the charging department, some of the offering charging speeds over 100W, and that goes for both wired and wireless charging. In any case, we’ll be seeing a lot of Galaxy S23 Ultra rumors and leaks in the coming months.
