Gboard will basically turn your text into sticker Suggestions
One major aspect of Gboard that people love is its predictive nature. As you’re typing, you will get suggestions for words and emojis. People can sometimes write full sentences based purely on suggestions. However, Google wants to take this a step further. According to Android Police, Google is testing a feature in Gboard that will give you sticker suggestions based on your text. The stickers will mostly be text-based. This means that if you type in ”Have a good day”, then you will get plenty of text-based stickers that say that very phrase. The stickers will say common phrases that people use all the time. This is essentially converting your text into stickers.
The feature is in beta testing
If you’re looking forward to this feature, you will be waiting a bit. Right now, this feature is in beta testing. This means that Google is testing it out among a limited selection of users. If you are not a part of the beta program, then you will not see the suggestions. We are unsure when the future will officially launch to the public, unfortunately.
How to join the beta for this program
If you really want to be a beta tester for this new Gboard feature, then it’s not too hard to do so. Go to the Google Play store and search for the Gboard app. Look just below the install/uninstall button, and you’ll see information on the beta. If the beta program is still accepting new people, then you should see the option to join. Once you join the program, then you should get the beta version of the app. Just know that when you’re using the beta version of Gboard, it may not be as stable as the regular version. That’s how it goes for most beta programs.
