It’s a little hard to spot, but you can catch a glimpse at the dedicated Xbox cloud gaming device below the sword on the top shelf. It’s a little white box and seems to resemble a smaller version of the Xbox Series console. Microsoft gets points for design continuity there. Also worth noting is that this could be an old prototype design.
The Xbox cloud gaming device shown off could be an old prototype
It would certainly make sense if Microsoft designed its Xbox streaming device to look just like the Xbox Series S. But could it actually be an old prototype? That’s what a response from the official Xbox Twitter account seems to be suggesting. But what seems more likely is that this is a tongue-in-cheek response meant simply to tease.
— Xbox (@Xbox) October 10, 2022 Microsoft has already confirmed that a device for streaming Xbox games is on the way. And judging by its appearance in the wild, it looks like it will be a box design as opposed to a streaming stick like the ones you can find from Fire TV and Roku. Since Microsoft’s initial announcement that it was developing a streaming device for Xbox games, there has been nary a peep about it officially. But perhaps Spencer choosing to place it on his Xbox wall for a sneaky photo op means it’s getting closer to a release. Or at the very least, closer to more information being shared. Until then, you can still stream Xbox games to your TV through the official app. Though you will need a specific set of TVs from LG or Samsung. Or, just have an Xbox connected to it.
