This is a slightly new feature on Google Meet, but it can be done. Both on desktop and mobile. And today, we’re going to show you exactly how to do it.

How To Blur Or Change Your Background On A Google Meet Call

First of all, you’ll need to either open the Google Meet app, or head to meet.google.com. Next, tap on “New Meeting”. And then tap on “Start an instant meeting”. Next, tap on the three dots in the bottom row of options.

And tap on “Change Background”. From here, you will see a number of different options available, including blurring your background, and even changing your background to another image. There are two options for blurring. You can slightly blur the background, or completely blur it (the third option from the left).

And that’s it. Your background is now blurred, or changed to a picture. And it will now default to this setting every time you start a meeting or join a meeting.
