HyperX DuoCast mic has a neat tap-to-mute function
Right off the bat the DuoCast mic seems like the mid-level option for HyperX. It doesn’t look quite as nice or premium as the QuadCast and the price sits firmly in between HyperX’s other two options. At $99 though the DuoCast has a lot to offer. It provides cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns and it comes with a low-profile shock mount. There’s also a really neat tap-to-mute button on top that just feels like it would be way easier to use than most other options. HyperX says it’s compatible with PC, PS5, PS4, and Mac. Plus it utilizes an internal pop filter and high-rez 24-bit bit-depth with a sampling rate of up to 96kHz. The DuoCast is already available on sale having just launched today, but is only available at Target for the time being. This is a limited-time exclusivity though.
