The update brings firmware version F926BXXU1BVA9 and is around 1.1GB in size. The changelog accessed by SamMobile doesn’t say what’s new, though it mentions the usual suite of security and stability improvements. This update likely fixes the bugs first introduced with the One UI 4 update last month. As with most Samsung security updates, a few Samsung apps are also getting updated. These include SmartThings, Samsung Health, Samsung Internet, PENUP, and others. The update appears to be live in several European markets, including the Caucuses, the Middle East, South Asia, the UK, South Africa, Ukraine, and Turkey, to name a few. If you’re not seeing the update on your Galaxy Z Fold 3 yet, it’s likely on the way. Alternatively, customers can download the update manually by heading over to Settings – Software update on the smartphone.

Samsung will soon launch One UI 4.1 for compatible devices

Galaxy Z Fold 3 users are painfully aware of the problems that emerged with the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in December. Among the user complaints were screen flickering, a non-functional default camera app, and the display refresh rate staying at 60Hz. Some customers even had trouble using streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix. Thankfully, this is a distant memory now as Samsung was quick to reissue the update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The Korean manufacturer can be forgiven for these software bugs as even Google wasn’t immune from the issues. Separately, OnePlus had to temporarily pause the Android 12 rollout due to a long list of bugs. Samsung would hope for a smoother rollout of One UI 4.1, which should arrive on One UI 4 devices sometime next month. The upcoming Galaxy S22 series will mark the official debut of One UI 4.1. The manufacturer should begin rolling it out to older devices shortly after the February 9 announcement of the new flagship.
