So, OnePlus has dialed down some specs, slapped a “CE” moniker on it, which by the way means “Core Edition,” and released it to the market. The phone costs £299 and will be available in Europe and India. Sadly, no US launch is happening. The device will be available for pre-order starting March 3. It will be available for the masses in Europe from March 10. While the overall smartphone flashes its affordability, it packs some specs that seem interesting. For starters, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes with 65W fast charging support. The company calls it “SuperVOOC” technology. Sounds familiar, right? Well, OnePlus has ditched its own WARP Charge branding and adopted OPPO’s SuperVOOC branding (in a sad turn of events, especially for OnePlus fans). Talking about the display, according to The Verge, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes with a 90Hz refresh rate 1080p OLED display. It measures 6.43-inches in size, and the colors pop.

The 3.5mm jack is slowly becoming a feature for affordable phones. Rightly so, the affordable OnePlus Nord CE 2 also comes with the rare 3.5mm jack. So, you can plug in your wired headphones and enjoy music, without the need to invest in truly wireless earbuds. Technically you can, but there is no compulsion. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 lacks the trademark OnePlus alert slider, which is one of the biggest disappointments for any OnePlus fan. You now have to dig through the quick settings menu to put your phone in silent or vibrate mode. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is also a 6GB RAM variant, but that is exclusive to India. You get two SIM card slots, along with a microSD card slot, allowing you to expand your storage up to 1TB in size. The phone packs a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 64MP main camera, along with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. OnePlus has, thankfully, parted ways with the low resolution and gimmicky monochrome sensor on its phones. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera housed inside a punch hole on the display.
