Case options for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 include one with an S Pen holder, which costs £68.99 in the UK, equivalent to $82. The foldable will support Samsung’s stylus pen but lacks a built-in silo to keep it. Perhaps the S Pen will be an optional accessory purchased separately. But for those who purchase it, Samsung will ensure that they have a case where they can keep it. The image we have today shows the S Pen case in Black color but it will also be available in Sand and Greygreen color options....

A dedicated S Pen slot is reportedly part of Samsung’s elaborate foldable strategy for the coming years. GM, at its two-day Investor Day today announced that it will be debuting the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado EV at CES 2022 in January. This would be Chevy’s first all-electric truck, and it continues the automakers’ push into going all-electric. GM plans to have 30 EV models by 2025, and it is really ramping that up. GM now has the Hummer EV (SUV and Truck), as well as the Cadillac Lyriq coming soon....

The company is doing this with a handful of new updates to its apps and web services. Prominent among the new additions is travel-related. Users will start seeing carbon emissions information on Google Flights. This means users will have information on carbon emissions per seat on every flight while also finding alternative travel options with a lower carbon footprint. Similarly, searching for hotels will pull up information on the establishment’s sustainability plans, including factors like water conservation and waste reduction....

The new tab has six health data categories with their own icons for easier identification. Each category has its own set of graphs and cards that can also be found in the ‘Home’ tab. The changes are part of version 2.61.14 of the Google Fit app for Android, per 9to5Google. Dedicated ‘Discover’ sections offer tips and information on third-party apps compatible with Fit. The first new section under Browse is Activity which covers common aspects like Steps, Distance, Move Minutes, Step Cadence, Daily Goals, etc....

Google published a blog post about this on Tuesday, stating that traditional TV is “expensive and outdated”. So it is making the switch to streaming instead. It’s a little surprising that Google did not include a free month of YouTube TV with the Chromecast with Google TV. In 2022, smartphones often have a minimum of 64GB storage, but smart TVs have an average of just 8GB, which is only suitable for a few apps. Google claims Android App Bundles consume 20% less space and, with the ability to archive any app, users can reclaim up to 60% more storage. Thus making users less likely to delete apps....

Like counts are based on the number of users who have liked that particular article on the Discover feed. From a practical point of view, the like counts make sense as they illustrate the popularity of a particular article on the feed. Of course, the like or heart button is an evolution of the simpler upvote/downvote button on the Discover feed....

Right now, Google is in the middle of a little transition. It’s taking its previous video chat platform Google Duo and phasing it out. Google Meet is going to take its place. Right now, people who use the Google Allo app are seeing it actually change into Google Meet. The app icon on the Play Store and name are being changed to reflect Meet. U.S. lawmakers have long been at odds with tech giants over their collective reluctance to crack down on data gathering. Google has been at the center of attention for its treatment of location data within its own apps. Among SafeGraph’s clients was the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. The CDC was gathering data as part of its fight against the coronavirus, as per Motherboard (via CNET). Google went on to say that it has sent 7-day warnings in June to all apps associated with SafeGraph....

What was the issue with Google’s white noise on Nest devices? For clarity, white noise is just one of the plethora of sounds Google offers users via its Nest devices and Google Assistant AI for falling asleep.
