The iPhone 14 Pro Max and OnePlus 10T are both huge devices. They are both also quite powerful, but also immensely different in pretty much every way. The two devices look completely different, while their internals are different as well. They deliver different camera performances, and so on. Before we get into it, though, do note that the OnePlus 10T is considerably more affordable than Apple’s flagship. Having said that, we’ll kick things off with their spec sheets, and move from there....

The foundation has asked the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas to grant royalties for the use of its patent in addition to damages from the search giant. This patent pertains to a system that can detect power management bugs within the code. The West Lafayette, Indiana-based university credits one of its professors, Y. Charlie Hu, for the invention of this technology. The lawsuit claims that Google came across Professor Hu’s research on the matter in 2012 and subsequently embedded some of the code into Android Lint....

Activating two-step verification by default affected 150 million Google users and 2 million YouTube creators. Moreover, a 50% decrease in accounts being compromised could be a significant achievement for Google’s security team. Google has announced this in a blog post to homage Safer Internet Day on February 8th. Google says the successful implementation of the project could demonstrate the company’s strength in securing user accounts by default. By the same token, it can pave the way for a future without passwords....

It’s still a wired controller. So you get less freedom than with something like the Xbox Wireless controller that comes with the console. Or the new SCUF Instinct Pro. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is not only a doorbell, but it comes with a 1080p camera built-in. Additionally, Samsung has launched a new content conversion solution for Tizen OS. Called SALT, it enables you to convert and display content in the highest-quality HDR10+ on supported TVs. All Samsung smart TVs are powered by the Tizen platform. The company also recently launched a licensing program for the OS, allowing third-party brands to make Tizen-powered TVs. Launching in 2012, Samsung tried Tizen OS on multiple device types over the years....

Samsung launched the world’s first LPDDR5X DRAM solution in November last year. It is a 14nm 16Gb chip that brings faster speeds and lesser power consumption over the previous-gen solutions. In March this year, the company revealed that the new DRAM chip has been validated for use in Qualcomm’s next-gen mobile processors. The Korean firm also touted data transfer speeds of up to 7.5Gbps. It has topped that speed by 1Gbps in just about seven months....

Smart Widgets, as you might have guessed, automatically groups similar-sized widgets to help you save space on your homescreen. Introduced on One UI 4.1, this feature allows you to use multiple widgets without cluttering the homescreen. You can switch between them by swiping to the left or right. The widgets also rotate automatically to show you the most relevant information. All in all, Smart Widgets is a handy feature for those who prefer to use multiple widgets on the homescreen....

It seems like this new limited edition model will be exclusively available in China to celebrate the upcoming event. The revelation comes from renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal, who shared a few images of this variant. The Olympic Commemorative Edition Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G will be available in a solitary 8GB+128GB configuration. Customers in China can get the device starting January 15. Priced at CNY 7,999 ($1,258), this special edition model won’t go easy on consumers’ wallets....

The latest update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is a relatively minor release. It doesn’t bring any notable new features or user-facing changes. The watches aren’t even getting a new security patch. They remain on the August security patch, which they picked up last month. But the new update contains some bug fixes and system stability improvements. Samsung may also be seeding some important software optimizations for improved reliability and connectivity....

Both variants sell for 1,522 SGD ($1,126), while Shopee also offers an exchange promotion (via), bringing the cost down to 1,298 SGD ($960). Customers who registered early interest in the special edition variants got it for 1,111 SGD ($822). So what do users get with these models? Both offer the 128GB version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with a Marvel or Star Wars-branded silicone cover with strap, a finger strap, and a Shopee power bank....

Beginning September 30th, “Gallery Sync and Drive storage for My Files will no longer be supported by Samsung Cloud and your data will be deleted,” the email reads. It also contains a termination schedule for the service that shows what features it has lost over the past year or so. September 30th will mark “the final deprecation of features subject to end,” the said email confirms. Note that the deadline may vary by region or user group....
