The Galaxy S22 series is getting the September security update The European Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ units are receiving the September SMR (Security Maintenance Release) with firmware version S90*BXXS2AVHD, SamMobile reports. That for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is S908BXXU2AVI3. There are no user-facing changes or new features here, though you may be getting some system stability improvements and bug fixes. According to the report, the Snapdragon Wear 5100 is a quad-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores. That’s contrary to what the initial report suggested last month: four Cortex-A73 cores. If the new report is true, then the upcoming wearable chip from Qualcomm may not provide a major boost in performance over its predecessor, the Snapdragon Wear 4100. The latter also features four Cortex-A53 CPU cores. Qualcomm might build the Snapdragon Wear 5100 on a more advanced process node than a 12nm process used for last year’s chip....

It seems like some ASUS flagships with the Snapdragon 888 are suffering from an unknown defect. That defect leads to a motherboard replacement. With Android 12, you also get a single tile titled “Internet” for controlling Wi-Fi and mobile data. Many users weren’t happy with this change, because it adds one extra step to toggle on/off Wi-Fi or mobile data. Sony’s latest Android 12 update, seems to agree with such users. As spotted by Redditor /uChiron_89 (via XDA Developers), Sony’s Android 12 update brings separate tiles for Wi-Fi and mobile data under the Quick Settings toggle....

Enhance is only available for Spotify Premium subscribers. The data breach that T-Mobile suffered last year was one of the biggest ever in the wireless industry. It compromised the personal information of “approximately 76.6 million” T-Mobile customers. Reports suggest that leaked data included personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, ID cards, and Social Security Numbers. A class action lawsuit was filed against T-Mobile over this breach. The lawsuit is pending in the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri....

Tapping this widget will let you see the usernames of all those members. If you’re using Telegram on desktop, right-clicking on a message brings up the same menu. The Galaxy A12 is getting Samsung‘s One UI Core 4.1 with Android 12. It is a stripped-down version of the latest iteration of the company’s custom Android software. This update brings a UI redesign with a Color Palette feature that lets you customize the UI elements with unique colors based on your wallpaper. New privacy indicators notify you whenever an app opens the camera or uses the microphone. Enhanced privacy controls let you quickly block access to the camera....

It also has potential to see a big push for users to start using the Epic Games Store launcher. Players will still need to use the Riot Client to install and play games like League Of Legends. However, players won’t have to download the client directly. Instead, they can click to download the games from Epic, which then installs the Riot Client onto the player’s PC. From there, users can then choose which games from Riot to install....

Android 13 launched back in August this year, and it had significantly fewer bugs than Android 12. However, users, such as Artem Russakovskii reported that when they accessed Google Assistant, it would be in dark mode. What’s significant about this is that there’s no way to change it back to light mode. The Assistant would be in dark mode regardless of what theme your phone was set to. So, people thought it was a bug....
