Notably, according to the report, Google’s Nearby Share will be getting the ability to share Wi-Fi passwords from Android 12 onwards to Google Chromebooks. Google has been continuously improving the feature set of Nearby Share. This is done to bring Nearby Share closer to its competitor, AirDrop. The company wants to build Nearby Share for Android and Chrome OS, just like AirDrop is for all Apple products. As of now, with Google’s Nearby Share, a user can share files, apps, and more between two connected devices....

Google has also already allowed similar integrations with Alexa smart homes in the past. Ensuring Alexa users can access more of the best security cameras and devices on the market. And those connections will still work. Specifically, for integrations between Alexa and Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest Cam Indoor, Cam Outdoor, Cam IQ Indoor/Outdoor, and Nest Doorbell (wired). The change is effectively adding a new skill for controlling the new devices....

Niagara Launcher support for foldable smartphones is now out of beta The information was shared via the official Niagara Launcher Twitter handle. You can now go to the Google Play Store and download Niagara Launcher, and it will include support for foldables. Alternatively, you can simply update it, if you already have it installed. Do note that Niagara Launcher did work on foldables before as well, but it was not exactly optimized to take advantage of all that screen real estate....

The Nothing Phone (1) will have uniform bezels Well, the company said that it won’t have a ‘chin’, which essentially means that the bezels will be uniform. That’s not something we see on many phones, so that’s a nice touch. The bottom bezel is usually slightly thicker than the rest. Having said that, Nothing also said that the announcement date will be revealed really soon. We do know that this phone will launch in the summer, but we don’t know when exactly....

The Galaxy S20 FE first received the October SMR in Europe earlier this month. The initial rollout covered the 5G models. A few days later, the 4G LTE models also picked up the latest security patch in the region. A wider rollout followed soon for both connectivity variants. And this week, the new update has reached units in the US as well. Samsung only sold the 5G model stateside. The October SMR for the carrier-locked Galaxy S20 FE in the US comes with firmware version G781USQS9FVI5, SamMobile reports....

Pixel 6 phones have started shipping to folks who ordered early This should come as a pleasant surprise to folks who ordered their phones on day one. The original shipping date was supposed to be October 28 for the USA, and November 1st for the UK. This may only be for people who ordered their phones really early (as in launch day). The report shows that a phone ordered on the 19th was shipped on the 25th with an estimated delivery date of between the 27th and 28th....

Usually, Pixel phones are early to get the latest security patches, but there was something askew with Pixel 6 phones on Verizon’s network. The update was marked as available back on the 12th of September. However, barely anyone using those phones actually picked up the update. It was so bad that it almost looked like either Google or Verizon delayed the update. After about two weeks of waiting, the September update is coming to Verizon Pixel 6 phones Now, at the end of the month basically, the update has finally come to the Verizon customers....

According to the developer, who first shared the information with 91Mobiles, the Pixel Tablet will sport a 10.95-inch display. We still don’t know whether it’s an AMOLED or LCD panel, though.
