The leak comes from the well-known source, Ice Universe, on Twitter (via). Screen protectors are usually available ahead of time and generally leak out prior to a phone’s release. Going by this revelation, the Galaxy S22 lineup could be slightly wider compared to its predecessor. We’ve previously encountered dummy units of the standard Galaxy S22 and the Ultra variants as well. However, this newer leak gives us a better view of the screen bezels, also revealing that the edges could be slightly rounded with the new lineup....

Samsung is developing a new 200MP camera for the Galaxy S23 Ultra According to Ice, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a new 200MP camera. Samsung has already announced two of these gigantic cameras — the ISOCELL HP1 last year and the ISOCELL HP3 earlier this year. Motorola was supposed to debut the former on its Moto X30 Pro earlier this week but the company canceled its launch at the last moment....

As of this writing, the stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the US is available for carrier-locked units on T-Mobile’s network. The new firmware version for the two foldables is F936USQU1BVK3 and F721USQU1BVK3, respectively (via). Samsung should cover units on other carriers as well as unlocked models of the foldable duo with the new Android version in the coming days....

Along with these three, Netflix has added many other newly-released Samsung smartphones to its compatibility list. The likes of the Galaxy A04, Galaxy A04s, Galaxy A13, Galaxy A23, Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A33 5G, Galax A53 5G, Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, and several Galaxy F and Galaxy M series models have gained official support. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be pricey According to tipster Sudhansu Ambhore, Samsung will price the Galaxy Z Fold 4 at €1,879 and €1,999 for the 256GB and 512GB storage option, respectively. That’s a jump of up to €100 from last year. The two storage variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 debuted with price tags of €1,799 and €1,899, respectively, in the European markets. This report contradicts a few previous ones....

IDC attributes the decline in wearable shipments to reduced demand The latest report is part of the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker. According to the research firm, the decline can be explained by consumers’ willingness to “spend more in categories outside of wearables.” “Cooling demand will force companies to further differentiate themselves. With most features becoming increasingly common among the different devices, companies will have to convince customers to upgrade with best-in-class experiences knowing that there are plenty of alternatives available....

The overall design of Gmail hasn’t changed much. It’s mostly just the colors that have changed. Like we’ve seen with Material You wallpapers, the colors that it picked for the accents in the notification shade and app drawer will match Gmail now. In a statement, Google has said that the account violates YouTube Terms of Service. And that blocking the channel outright was the immediate appropriate action. According to Google, it will be an optional feature. It will let you add a work location routine to your calendar so your colleagues and bosses know where you are working from on a particular day when they invite you to an event. You can select your working location as home or office, or enter a custom location, from a dropdown menu next to your daily working hours in Google Calendar....

Google introduced app archiving, which would allow users to uninstall an app through the Play Store, but their devices will store the local data so that if they reinstall the app, they’ll be able to get back to the experience they had before without having to log in again. Thus allowing users who have a budget phone with limited storage to keep more apps without having to worry about storage constraints....

Wear OS 3 is Google’s latest wearable operating system. It launched (sort of) last year with the Galaxy watch 4 smartwatchs. Samsung had possession of Wear OS 3 for more than a year while Google worked to launch its own smartwatch. That was the Google Pixel watch. Now that Wear OS 3 is in full swing, Wear OS 2 is fading into the sunset. While new smartwatches may launch with this operating system, we can’t expect any future updates....

The folks over at 9to5Google have discovered that Google has created two new display drivers. The drivers are tagged with “C10” and “P10”, which are the shorthand versions of the “Cheetah” and “Panther”, the company’s internal codenames for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, respectively. These files reveal the display specs for the upcoming Pixel duo. According to the new report, the Pixel 7 will use Samsung’s S6E3FC3 panel while the Pro model features the Korean firm’s S6E3HC3 display....
