Korean publication, The Elec (via) reports that the chaebol is planning to launch more than 60 devices in 2022. Around 31 of these phones/tablets will reportedly feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 SoC. Meanwhile, the Exynos 2200 chip with the integrated AMD GPU will run on 20 devices next year. Lastly, 14 devices will pack MediaTek SoCs, and three will use chipsets made by UNISOC (formerly Spreadtrum). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 will reportedly feature the Exynos 2200 chipset Samsung has no more flagships lined up for 2021, although the company is gearing up for the release of the Galaxy S22 lineup in less than three months....

Motorola Edge 20 renders leak We have already seen live images of the Motorola Edge 20 in a TENAA listing earlier this month, giving us a fair idea of what the device will look like. Material You, just like any other design aesthetic, has specific traits that define it. For example, many UI elements have rounded corners in Material You. This gives the software a much more rounded and bubbly look. Many options live within either pill-shaped or rounded rectangular buttons. Microsoft is obviously trying to turn its Edge browser into a direct competitor of Google Chrome. The revelation comes via the GM of Lenovo China’s Mobile Business Department, Chen Jin, who posted a teaser for the Edge X on social networking platform Weibo. The Moto Tab G62 is an upcoming Motorola product that joins the company’s Tab G20 and Tab G70. The device was previously seen on Google Play’s Supported Device List, and now it has appeared on the Google Play Console. As per the report, the Moto Tab G62 will head to the market in LTE and Wi-Fi variants, and each variant has its own SoC. As you can see in the screenshots, the product with model number “XT2261-2” is the LTE variant with the Qualcomm SM6125 processor and 4GB of RAM....

These days, and with the expansion of Gmail, Outlook, and other email providers, a few people tend to use email clients. Mozilla Thunderbird is one of those popular clients released in 2003, but it couldn’t catch up with the competition. Now, the product manager confirmed they’re working on a dedicated mobile app for Thunderbird. Ryan Lee Sipes, product manager for Mozilla Thunderbird, announced the news on his Twitter account. However, he says releasing a mobile app is a number two priority....

According to the new report, Netflix is still the most popular streaming service in the US. However, its market share of 25 percent in Q4 2021 is much lower than the 32 percent market share it had at the beginning of last year. As you can see in the graph below, Netflix’s viewership is declining with each passing month. Paying $7 to $9 per month for the ad-supported subscription might seem like a good deal when Netflix’s “Basic” plan, without HD streaming, starts at $10 per month. You can also pay $15.49 monthly for a standard subscription that includes no commercials. Also, showing an excessive amount of ads is one of the greatest drawbacks of ad-supported or free tiers. As per the report, Netflix wants to change the user’s perception of ad-supported subscriptions by showing only four minutes of advertising per hour of content streaming....

One of the main reasons Netflix believes it’s losing money is that people are sharing their accounts with multiple people. This does make sense on some level. For one payment every month, scores of people can watch content on the platform. Netflix will charge a fee for sharing your password between households So, in order to change things around, Netflix has a new idea. The company was trying out some experimental ways of reducing password sharing in Latin American countries....

Since the Google I/O event, Google has been teasing the Material You-themed weather widgets. They have been appearing on various Android 12 mockups and wallpapers, including the official Google Pixel 6 Pro images. The beta updates have served disappointment, as none of the beta updates so far brought the Android 12’s Material You weather widgets. Well, that is changing today. Because, in a recent report by DroidLife, the Material You-themed weather widgets are now finally showing up with the latest beta version of the Google app....

This is all according to a new report from market intelligence firm Antenna. The data from Antenna shows that the new Basic with Ads plan was the least popular sign-up option for Netflix in November. Is anyone really surprised? From May to October, about 40% of new sign ups were for the Basic plan, 31% for the Standard plan and 29% for the Premium plan. In November, those numbers were pretty similar actually....
