Also worth noting is that NVIDIA is also discounting the base model of the SHIELD TV as well. This is a less powerful version of the device and comes with less storage, no Samsung SmartThings support, and it only has 2GB of RAM instead of 3GB. But it still supports 4K HDR and the Dolby Vision/Atmos enhancements. So all-in-all, it’s a pretty good option if you don’t need as much storage and you still want a good Android TV device. That being said, the storage is 8GB instead of 16GB and it comes with less connectivity ports. So make of that what you will. The base model is currently on sale for $125 for Prime Day.
