The August 2021 security update for Galaxy Note 8 is live for users in Spain & the UK

Cut to now, the phone is picking up the latest security update. It arrives with firmware version N950FXXSGDUG6. The update is purely incremental, meaning it doesn’t bring any new features apart from the security patch. More importantly, according to SamMobile, the August 2021 security update for Galaxy Note 8 devices is currently live for users in Spain and the U.K. So, if you live in other regions, then you probably have to wait for a few more days or maybe weeks. Although the update does not include any new features, general bug fixes, improvements in device performance and stability are not to be missed. Samsung is rolling out the update via OTA in batches. This means that it won’t be available for every Galaxy Note 8 user right away. It will surely take its time before it knocks on the door of your device. However, if you own a Galaxy Note 8 phone and live in Spain or the U.K. then, you can manually check for the update. To do that, you need to head over to Settings > Software Update and hit the Download and Install button. If the update is live in your region, then you will receive an update notification. You can tap on this notification to begin downloading and later install the update on your Galaxy Note 8.
