The Galaxy S21 FE story is quite long at this point. The phone was reported to be canceled, such reports surfaced several times. It turns out those reports were not accurate.

The Galaxy S21 FE will become official on October 29, it seems

The device was supposed to launch during Samsung’s Unpacked event last month, but that didn’t happen. The chip shortage is to blame, it seems. A recent report suggested that the phone may launch in September, but that report was also inaccurate. The phone will be launching towards the end of October, and that timing does fit. It also goes hand-in-hand with the report that surfaced prior to the Unpacked event, which suggested October is the launch month for the S21 FE. Samsung’s upcoming flagship killer surfaced a number of times thus far. We know what to expect in the design department, while its specifications are still a mystery, well, some of them. The device will look like a blend between the Galaxy S20 FE and the S21. It will likely include a plastic backplate, and will feature three cameras on the back. A flat display will be included, along with a display camera hole, which will be centered at the top of the display.

The phone will include a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, and more

Samsung will include a fullHD+ display on this phone, of the OLED variety. That display will support a 120Hz refresh rate, by the way. The phone will support fast charging, and hopefully wireless charging as well. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC is expected to fuel this phone. It is worth noting that an Exynos model is also expected, though. In addition to that, Samsung will likely include 8GB of RAM, though a 6GB RAM variant is also a possibility. This device will be more affordable than the Galaxy S21, and its price tag is supposed to be one of its main selling points. This phone represents a really well-specced device, and doesn’t cost much.
