The Galaxy S23 series may arrive in early February next year

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series on February 9 this year. So it’s logical for the 2023 models to arrive around the same time next year. But there have been rumors that the company may launch the new flagships in January itself, likely due to a slowdown in sales in this year. It did something similar with the Galaxy S21 series last year. Those devices arrived in January 2021 after the pandemic-hit 2020. It appears that those rumors were inaccurate. Samsung will likely stick to the February launch schedule for its Galaxy S lineup. While we don’t have a precise date yet, the new report says the event could take place in the first week of February 2023. A quick look at next year’s calendar reveals that the first Monday of February falls on the 6th. So we may get the Galaxy S23 series around the same time as their predecessors. Either way, it will be Samsung’s first major in-person event since the COVID-19 pandemic. The Galaxy S20 launch in San Francisco in early 2020, shortly before the pandemic swept the whole world, was the last one. The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series were unveiled through virtual events. Samsung did offer some in-person experiences during the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 launch in August this year but in a limited capacity. The Galaxy S23 series may now mark the return of fully in-person flagship announcements. As for the venue of the upcoming event, it should once again take place in San Francisco. We will let you know as soon as we have more information about Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked.

The new Samsung flagships may cost more than their predecessors

Rumors have it that the Galaxy S23 series will cost more than the Galaxy S22. Samsung reportedly can’t avoid a price hike because of the inflation crisis. But we will have to wait for more concrete evidence on this. You can expect Galaxy S23 leaks to come thick and fast as the launch draws closer. Stay tuned.
