According to the company announcement, StemDrop goes live on TikTok on October 26, allowing users to create and share new songs based on the already-released songs from some well-known artists. This is a way for creative users to produce their own unique spin on the track. “TikTok creators can interpret, sing, remix, and upload their unique versions of a brand-new single from one of the greatest songwriting teams in history, led by Max Martin.” Samsung noted. Max Martin is a 5x Grammy award winner. He will release 60 seconds of an original new single exclusively on TikTok.
StemDrop won’t be limited to Galaxy phones
Samsung says that the TikTok community will have access to stems. These are basically the individual components of the song, such as drums, bass guitar, and vocals. The stems will be released on the TikTok Sounds page. Additionally, the feature will not be limited to only Galaxy phones. The company says StemDrop Player is “powered by Samsung but open to all.” Samsung and TikTok could also convince some well-known music brands to form a partnership. Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Universal Music Group, with its Republic Records label, are other partners on this project. StemDrop has an official channel on TikTok and has posted videos to celebrate the feature launch. Samsung also seized the opportunity to highlight the capabilities of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Z Flip4 for StemDrop users. TikTok is currently one of the market’s most successful social media platforms, convincing Meta to redesign Instagram as a clone of TikTok. This partnership will also help Samsung to enrich its music portfolio and add more fancy features to its Galaxy phones lineup.
