There’s quite a few different Samsung devices that have leaked recently, so we could see any of those announced at this event. But where it is such short notice, we don’t expect to see a whole lot of device announcements here. Who knows, Samsung might use this as a time to announce Android 12 and One UI 4 for the Galaxy S21 and other flagship smartphones. After all, it has been in beta for a few months. This is going to make next week a pretty impressive week for smartphone news. As we have Google announcing the Pixel 6 and potentially some other Made by Google products on October 19. Then the following day, there’s Samsung with its Unpacked Part 2.

What to expect from Unpacked Part 2

Expect a new phone or two from Unpacked Part 2. Last year, Samsung held three different Unpacked events from August through October. With the first one being for the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab and Watch. While the second was for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the third was for the Galaxy S20 FE. We already know that there won’t be a Galaxy Note this year, as that was confirmed by Samsung Mobile’s head DJ Koh. But we could see the Galaxy S21 FE. That is a stretch though, since it has been rumored to be cancelled a few times already. However it did go through the FCC recently. So it’s really not clear what this could be launching next week. One thing we do know for sure, it will not be the Galaxy S22. Even though we’ve seen quite a few leaks for the Galaxy S22 recently, it won’t be coming next week.
