With connection types including Bluetooth 5.2 for mobile devices and PC, and either USB or 3.5mm for console and PC. The PLYR also works with a low-latency USB dongle that can be used for PlayStation and PC but this costs extra.
Skullcandy gaming headsets offer some unique features
For the most part the new Skullcandy PLYR, SLYR and SLYR Pro seem to offer your run-of-the-mill feature set. Things like noise reduction mics on the PLYR and SLYR Pro, and on-board mute and volume controls on all three models. But Skullcandy also added in some more unique features. There’s a hearing test you can perform with the PLYR and SLYR Pro models that tunes audio to your specific hearing needs. The PLYR and SLYR Pro also offer Tile tracking. Just in case you misplace the headset and need to find it. Both those models also offer 24+ hours of battery life with rapid charge. Additionally, you can enhance the sound on both the PLYR and SLYR Pro on PC and mobile with software. As for the entry-level SLYR model, you lose audio enhancement and a couple of other features. But that’s to be expected for the price. Skullcandy is launching the SLYR today for $59.99. Both the SLYR Pro and PLYR models launch in October for $99.99 and $129.99 respectively.
