According to Snap, the company that owns Snapchat, the social media platform launched a new tool for parents to keep an eye on their kids’ accounts. It’s called Family Center, and it lets you see who your kids are messaging. When you open up the Family Center, you’ll see a list of the contacts your kids have been messaging. You’ll see their name and when they last contacted each other. While you can see this information, you won’t be able to see the content of those conversations. This lets parents get an idea of who’s messaging their kids without totally barging in. However, we know that there are some parents who would like to see the contents of the messages. The feature launched today, so it should be rolling out to you soon. Snapchat Family Center seems pretty bare-bones now, but the company also said that more features will be coming out over the following months.
