That being said, not much has been shared about the specifics of the controller other than the design and some of the features. And although there aren’t specifics on features, Sony does highlight them. It’s also worth pointing out that since this is Sony’s pro-style controller, it’s likely to cost more. Sony’s original DualSense is $69. And that means there is a very good chance that the cost of the DualSense Edge will be well over $100. Especially considering the cost of Microsoft’s Xbox Elite controller – a souped up version of the Xbox Wireless controller with a much higher price tag.

Get the edge on your opponents with the DualSense Edge. Sony is taking aim at providing players with a more technical controller equipped with advanced features. These are the kinds of controllers you want if you play competitive games like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II when it launches this Fall. In terms of customizations, the new DualSense Edge will have back paddles. As well as a pair of bottom-mounted buttons that appear to sit under the thumbsticks. You can also swap out the thumbstick caps, and customize the controls using an on-controller interface. Plus, the controller has trigger locks so you can adjust the level of click. This is something that the SCUF Reflex does not have. And that gives Sony an “edge” on the Reflex. So long as the controller can come in well under the Reflex’s base cost of $199.99. Not to mention, to get the instant triggers with the Reflex, you’re looking at paying $249.99. So it shouldn’t be hard for Sony to make this price competitive.
