Built by JBL, the headphones feature 40mm audio drivers that are, according to the company, “tuned for sport” and offer rich bass. The JBL app on a connected smartphone further lets you tune the sound to your liking. JBL’s Bionic Hearing technology also ensures that the wearer is still able to hear surroundings with the headphones on. With just a touch, you can enable TalkThru that automatically lowers the music when you want to have a conversation. The Ambient Aware feature, meanwhile, balances the music and ambient noise for an immersive listening experience while ensuring safety outdoors. And when you’re indoors or commuting, you have ANC (active noise cancellation) to block out all the disturbance. The headphones connect over Bluetooth 5 and are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. On Android, it supports Fast Pair, so connecting will be hassle-free. You also get support for the 3.55 headphone jack (AUX cable included in the box). That’s an added feature there.

Rugged design, strong battery life, and more

The new pair of Rock-branded headphones feature a rugged design with an IPX4 rating for sweat protection. The ear cushions are removable and hand-washable as well. They pack a 610 mAh battery that is rated to last up to 45 hours with ANC on a single charge. If you turn on noise cancellation, the headphones will last about 35 hours. That’s still quite good though. Of course, you have fast charging support, so refueling it won’t take long. The Rock promises two hours of playtime with just five minutes of charging. Weighing in at 294 grams (0.65 lbs), the UA Project Rock Over-Ear Training Headphones are quite lightweight and should be comfortable to wear during an extended workout period. The new UA Project Rock Over-Ear Training Headphones are now available to purchase via JBL and Under Armour. The pair costs $300 and comes in a single black color variant. The retail box includes the headphones, of course, a carrying case, a USB Type-C cable for charging, an AUX cable, and a Brahma Bull sticker.
