Neither of these watches run Samsung’s Tizen OS
After years of releasing smartwatches with Tizen OS, Samsung switched back to Google’s software. The company actually co-developed this software with Google. Samsung has a special version of Wear OS 3.0 on its watches, it has its own skin, if you will. These two smartwatches have been announced earlier this month, during Samsung’s Unpacked event. They arrived alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and Buds 2 gadgets. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is the only one that has a physical rotating crown at the top. It’s also the more expensive of the two watches, in case you were wondering. Samsung will likely release several more updates for both phones in the near future. That’s what usually happens once a device like this launches. We can’t really predict the update situation like this time around Samsung is kind of dependent on Google. These two watches do not come with Samsung’s Tizen OS, so it doesn’t have complete control.
