A wider rollout may not be too far off, though. Perhaps the publication claims the update will arrive later today, at least in Europe. Samsung has been beta testing One UI 5.0 for more than two months now. The company has already announced that the stable update will roll out to the Galaxy S22 series before the end of October. We expect it to begin the update in the seven markets where it ran the beta program, i. e. South Korea, China, Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and the US. Other markets should follow soon. As for this one-off report from Italy, the update weighs almost 3GB and is rolling out with firmware version S908BXXU2BVJA for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It bundles the October security patch. The changelog mentions everything we are expecting. From subtle UI changes to new customization options, improved privacy and security features, and tons of other improvements and new features, there’s plenty to look forward to here. All of these features were part of the Android 13 beta builds. Speaking of beta builds, Samsung released five of those for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra since beta testing began in early August. The fifth release came last week. There are also rumors of a sixth and final beta build. However, the latest developments suggest the company is done with beta testing. We may directly get the stable update now.

The Galaxy S22 series should get the stable Android 13 update widely this week

It may have been an accidental release, or maybe intentional but later pulled up for some reason, Samsung should hold back the stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy S22 series for much longer now. Even if a wider rollout doesn’t begin today, we expect it to arrive this week. After all, we will step in November early next week. Rest assured, we will be keeping a close eye on these developments and will let you know as soon as the One UI 5.0 update starts rolling out in the stable channel.
