Since this is an expansion, that does mean you’ll need to own the base version of Total War: Medieval II on Android or iOS. If you don’t already have it, you can grab it for $14.99. The Kingdoms expansion will then be available as an in-app purchase for $6.99 from the release date later this month. Worth noting is that the trailer mentions the game launches on November 15. But it appears the launch date has been pushed up by five days.

Total War: Medieval II – Kingdoms brings four new campaigns to Android

The base game is already a hefty chunk of content to play through, and the expansion adds to that in a big way. It includes a ton of new content for players including four new campaigns across 400 years of history. There’s also 24 playable factions, only 10 of which are available in the base game. Which means there’s no 14 new playable factions in the expansion. That more or less gives you endless replayability. As you can play through the campaigns with each faction and make tons of different choices along the way. So no two games really feel quite the same. The campaigns included in this expansion are Americas, Britannia, Crusades, and Teutonic. If you’re planning on picking this expansion up as well as the base game, make sure to clear some space on your device. It’s massive. The base game itself requires 4.3GB of free space. And the expansion is only going to push that number a lot higher. You will also need a device with some decent specs if you want to run this game as smoothly as possible, but it should be supported by pretty large list of phones and tablets. You can watch the official trailer for the expansion below and grab the base game from the Google Play Store. Total War: Medieval II
