Super Follows let you pay to access exclusive content on Twitter

Super Follows is a subscription service that lets users pay their favorite creators on Twitter for exclusive content. It’s an optional feature on top of the existing Following feature on the social network. Super Following users will get access to exclusive content, i.e. Tweets, that is not available to regular followers. They will also get a special Super Followers badge, which will be public for easy recognition. While all Android and iOS Twitter users globally can now Super Follow creators on Twitter, the feature isn’t available to all creators. Twitter has set certain criteria for creators before they can apply for the program. Firstly, a user must have a minimum of 10,000 followers to be eligible for the Super Follows program. They also need to have tweeted at least 25 times within the last 30 days. If a Twitter user meets these criteria and is 18 years or older, they can apply for Super Follows from the Monetization menu in the sidebar on the Home timeline. This will put you on a waitlist that Twitter will review as it gradually expands the program to more creators. If accepted, you will have to continue posting at least 25 tweets every 30 days. As far as the subscription prices are concerned, Twitter is letting creators decide how much they want to charge for their content. As of now, creators can set a monthly subscription of $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99. The company will take three percent of the total revenue after in-app purchases fees. The revenue share increases significantly to 20 percent if you’re making more than $50,000 in a month though. Twitter plans to add more pricing tiers, perhaps multiple pricing tiers for the same account, in the future. The ability to subscribe anonymously is another Super Follows feature planned for the future. Twitter is also working on introducing paid Spaces and newsletters. We will let you know if and when these features start rolling out publicly.
