Two Vivo foldable smartphones are coming, they’ve both been certified
As a reminder, Vivo still hasn’t announced a single foldable smartphone, so these two will certainly be the first ones. The certification itself confirms that 80W charging will be supported by both phones. One has a 5,000mAh battery, while the other includes a 4,000mAh battery. What’s the difference between them? Well, neither of them is a clamshell foldable, both unfold like books. The difference is in their size, first and foremost. The Vivo X Fold will be a bit bigger. The Vivo X Fold will feature an 8-inch 120Hz LTPO display, it seems. UTG glass will be a part of the package, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is also tipped for this smartphone. If that happens, it will become the first foldable to feature such a fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo X Note will be the larger of the two
The Vivo X Note, on the other hand, is said to include an 8-inch foldable display. That device will essentially be a competitor to the OPPO Find N, and cater to people who actually want to use their phone with one hand when folded. The OPPO Find N managed to attract a lot of attention to itself when it launched. It’s still in high demand in China, though unfortunately, it did not launch outside of OPPO’s homeland. Let’s hope Vivo will launch its two upcoming foldables globally. These two phones are said to cost around $1,500-$1,600, translated from Chinese prices. They may be a bit more expensive if Vivo decides to push them to more markets, of course. Both of these smartphones are expected to launch in the near future. The latest rumor mentioned April as the launch month, but we’ll have to wait and see. The Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro+ are also expected to launch soon.
