Uncomplicated Launcher is an app that is supposed to make using a smartphone simpler. That is supposed to help the elderly, first and foremost. It is considerably simpler than Nova Launcher, Action Launcher, Lawnchair Launcher, Pixel Launcher, and various other offerings out there. This app presents a number of large cubes on your homescreen. In each of those cubes, you’ll notice an icon, and some text. The font here is not huge, but it’s larger than what you’re used to. Now, by default, the icons presented are SOS, Alarms, Photos, Medicine, Messages, Phone, and so on. So, they’re basically the functions that the developer thinks are most necessary for the elderly. This launcher is supposed to make messaging and calling simpler. It does offer some customizability, though, of course, so you can adapt it to your needs. You can replace the apps / functions available on the home screen with ease.

In addition to that, you can change the theme, and text size, if you want. The launcher also allows you to change the number of rows and columns, though you’ll need to pay up for that, get a paid version of the app. A high contrast theme is also thrown in the mix here, just in case you find a need for that. Now, in regards to usage itself, it’s also adapted to the elderly. Every press that the display registers, on a particular action, will be accompanied by haptic feedback. This launcher is set up in a way that it doesn’t make you to use swipes, scrolling, or pan action, once again, making things simpler for the elderly. It is possible to access the app list, but you’ll be going through them by tapping huge arrows on the right side of the display, instead of swiping your finger. This launcher is aimed at the elderly, and it offers really nice features for such use.
