Upcoming Huawei smartwatch may have earbuds on the inside

The Huawei Watch Buds is the alleged name of this device. You can clearly see it in the provided image, and how it’ll work. The watch will seemingly open up in order to store the earbuds. That way, the watch body will serve as a charger and carrying case for the earbuds. We’ve seen this with a couple of devices out there, like the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, and a smartphone from Ulefone. Huawei is looking to push things further, and offer a similar concept, but with a smartwatch. What we’re looking at here seems to be an official retail box of the product. We have no way of confirming it, but it does look legit. This watch doesn’t even seem to be all that bulky, which begs the question… where will Huawei fit all of the necessary components? The earbuds themselves take up quite a bit of space, and they need a battery to be charged. The watch itself also needs the battery to work, so… yeah, it’s interesting.

The Huawei TalkBand B6 was a hybrid wearable, but a bit different

Some of you may remember the Huawei TalkBand B6 from 2020, which was a smart band, with a built-in Bluetooth earphone. The band itself, which you pull out of the strap served as one large Bluetooth earphone. Huawei is no stranger to such, odd designs. The Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick also got released a while back. Those are basically truly wireless earphones hidden in a case that looks like a lipstick holder. That, of course, doesn’t guarantee that the Huawei Watch Buds smartwatch is coming, but it’s an interesting concept, to say the least. You wouldn’t have to worry about forgetting your earbuds, they’d be on you at all times, inside of your watch.

UPDATE: Check out the video below to see the watch in action.
