The Vivo X Fold marketing materials surfaced with plenty of information

As you can see, in the image below, the recently-leaked images of the device were spot on. We now know what the device will look like. It will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, that’s obvious, as it opens like a book.

In regards to specs, the leaked materials reveal that the phone will feature an 8-inch QHD+ main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That display will actually use LTPO 3.0 technology, so it will support an adaptive refresh rate. The secondary panel on the phone will measure 6.53 inches, and it will be a fullHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will fuel the phone, while LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage will also be included. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the Vivo X Fold, while a 4,600mAh battery will also be included. The phone will support 66W wired, and 50W wireless charging, by the way.

ZEISS optics will be included, and a periscope camera as well

You’ll also notice ZEISS branding on the box, as this phone will include the company’s T* coating on the camera lenses. That should minimize the glare, and it’s something that Vivo utilized in the past, on its flagships. A 50-megapixel main camera (Samsung’s ISOCELL GN1 sensor) will sit on the back, along with a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (114-degree FoV). A 12-megapixel portrait camera will also sit back there, as will a 5-megapixel periscope camera (60x zoom). The phone will support Wi-Fi 6 and will include an NFC chip. The hinge has been certified to work for 300,000 folds/unfolds, while it seems like the main display also did great at DisplayMate, based on these materials. The Vivo X Fold will become official on April 11. The device will launch in China first, though we’re hoping it will make its way to global markets after that, unlike its competitors, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold, OPPO Find N, and HONOR Magic V.
