The Vivo X70 flagships will feature a brand new OS, and launch on September 10 globally

Vivo’s current global smartphones are running Funtouch OS, including its Vivo X60 flagships. The Origin OS got announced quite some time in China, last year, actually. It has been running on some of the company’s smartphones in China. Well, Vivo seems to be ready to bring this OS over to its global smartphones. The Vivo X70 series will ship with Origin OS out of the box, while some other phones are also expected to get that update. The company confirmed the Origin OS’ arrival via the image provided below. You can also see a part of the Vivo X70 Pro+. That handset will have a curved display, just like its predecessor, and a display camera hole as well.

The company will announce three phones as part of the series

Vivo is expected to announce three smartphones as part of the series, the Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. The latter one will be the most powerful one, of course. These phones are expected to come with ZEISS’ optics. The Pro and Pro+ models will include ZEISS’ T* lenses, which is a special type of lens coating that is supposed to eliminate glare. The Vivo X70 Pro+ is expected to include four cameras on the back, including a periscope one. One of the phone’s variants will include a Vegan Leather backplate, while the other one will likely offer a glass back. That phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 888, and will likely include 12GB of RAM. An 8GB RAM variant may be available as well. The Vivo X70, on the other hand, is reported to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Android 11 will come pre-installed on all devices, along with Origin OS, it seems.
