The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is coming with the world’s first 360-degree hinge
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold was announced as the company’s first foldable last year. Its successor was always expected to arrive this year. Several rumors said it, and this one does as well, from a reliable tipster. This info was shared by Ice Universe. The tipster added that Xiaomi is focusing on its upcoming foldable, and has no plans to announce the MIX 5 this year. As a reminder, the Xiaomi MIX 4 launched back in August last year with an under-display camera. Another tipster, @Shadow_Leak, shared some information about the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. He says that the phone’s model number is ‘22061218C’, and that the device will support a stylus. It likely won’t ship with one, though.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will fuel the device, while an under-display camera will also be included
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is tipped to fuel Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable, while a “big battery” will be included as well. An under-display camera was mentioned by the tipster, while the phone will be the first foldable smartphone with a 360-degree hinge. In other words, it will be foldable in both directions. We’re not really sure how will that work, but we’ll see. In regards to its displays, the tipster shared details of the main panel only. That display will measure 8.1 inches, and it will be a QHD+ panel. This will be an LTPO display, so it will support an adaptive refresh rate. So, unfortunately, we won’t get the Xiaomi MIX 4 successor this year, but Xiaomi will deliver its next-gen foldable. The first-gen model did not leave China, but let’s hope that the MIX Fold 2 will become available in more markets.
