According to images obtained by VideoCardz, both EVGA and Colorful RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards appear to be among the thickest consumer GPUs on the planet. Much thicker than you’ll find with the RTX 3050 and other third-party GPUs from the rest of the series. They each look to be about 3.5 slots thick. Which is to say, they’ll take up a lot of room.
The new EVGA FTW3 Ultra RTX 3090 Ti has a massive heatsink
Starting with the EVGA card, this new RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra design appears to be 3.5 slots thick and comes with a huge heatsink. The size of these new GPUs seems to be from the larger-than-life cooling system that they’ll need to keep the temperatures down. With these being the first pictures of the new GPU starting to pop up, consumers get their first look at what size they’ll be working with. Both side and end shots of the card showcase just how big it really is. It also shows that EVGA decide to move the location of the PCIe Gen 5 power connector port. Typically these are on the side of the card. But with the RTX 3090 Ti EVGA has moved it to the end. On the other end you have all the display connection ports as usual. As for the cards coming from Colorful, it looks like there’s going to be three models coming down the pipeline. The BattleAx Deluxe, the iGame Vulcan, and the iGame Neptune. Both the BattleAx Deluxe and the Vulcan cards share a similar design with three fans. Meanwhile the Neptune uses a liquid-cooled setup with dual fans underneath the top plate. There’s no word yet on when these cards will launch or how much they will cost. But with images now out in the wild they should be arriving at retailers pretty soon. GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GPUs are suspected to launch as early as this week, but could be sometime in the beginning of April.
