Currently, on Android and iOS, you can use the ‘Save To Watch later’ or ‘Save To Playlist’ features to save videos you want to watch at a later time. However, these features save the videos permanently, and you have to delete them after watching. This is one of the main benefits of using the “Add To Queue” feature on YouTube, as it allows users to plan out their viewing sessions. Instead of constantly searching for new videos or switching between multiple videos, users can add videos to their queue and watch them in the order they choose. This can be particularly useful for users who watch a lot of videos in a short amount of time or who want to make sure they don’t forget to watch a particular video.

How to try out the “Add to Queue” feature?

The “Add To Queue” feature is currently being tested with YouTube Premium subscribers. To enable it on the Android or iOS app, tap your profile avatar in the top-right corner > Settings > Try new features. After enabling the feature, users can click on the three-dot overflow menu next to a video and select the ‘Play Last In Queue’ option at the top of the list. YouTube will then create a queue at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to rearrange the viewing order and remove videos by swiping left. There are also options to repeat and shuffle playback. The YouTube queue feature for Android and iOS will remain in testing until January 28 and will roll out soon after that.
