This requires you jumping from app to app to watch different movies and shows. That’ll definitely put a damper on movie night. Not only that, but it can become confusing what you’re watching on each respective app.

But, YouTube Primetime Channels may fix this

What YouTube is trying to do is create one place to access all of your streaming content (like we haven’t heard that one before ). Since YouTube is a well-known and often-used platform, most people know how to operate it. This is why YouTube Primetime Channels may have a shot at bringing some change. YouTube partnered with several streaming services to host their content on the platform. This includes many well-known streaming services like Paramount+, AMC+, Epix, etc. As time goes on, we may see even more content added. This content will live in the “Movies and television” section of YouTube, and it’ll all be displayed just like other YouTube videos. The company wants to make watching movies just like watching any other YouTube content. There are a few differences though. For starters, you’ll see a green “Watch Now” button under the video. Tapping on it will let you subscribe to the service if you’re not already subscribed. While watching the movie, you’ll be able to interact with it just like any other YouTube video. This means that you can “like”, “dislike”, and comment on the videos. The one main difference is that you won’t see a view count on the movies or shows. YouTube is currently rolling this out, but we don’t know exactly when it will reach everybody. You’ll have to keep an eye on YouTube if you are excited about this Primetime Channels feature.
